I would hazard a guess that LandRover owners would tend to be more right wing in general.

PS don't forget that the Queen drives them on her estates and used to fix them during the war. (not that she gets to vote of course) 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

The LR marque did not exist in the war, so the Queen despite how clever with her hands she may be or have been never fixed them in the war, since quite possible Very Happy my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Interesting article in Weekend Financial Times about "The Outsider" strategy in electioneering. Basically you position yourself as outside of the incumbent politicians so that you can then point out what's wrong with them and how you will change things when you get into power. People then vote on the vision. The problem is that once in power you find that it's very difficult to make meaningful changes for a variety of reasons eg NHS culture, existing spending commitments, public sector unions, foreign policy issues etc. You can see this with
President Obama (everything blocked by Senate/Congress but came to power on "Change")
Nigel Farage and UKIP (It's all the EUs fault, single issue, everything OK if out of the EU)
The SNP (it's all Westminster's fault and don't worry that the oil price has halved since the referendum)
Welsh Nationalist - same story as SNP without the oil.
The Greens (it's everyone else's fault)
The problem is that you can only use this strategy once (eg Lib-Dems who are now classed as insiders) hence the Lib Dem melt down.

It also talked about the rise of the career politician (ie most of them) but that's another story. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I used to vote Labour, but became disillusioned when Brown came to power, I have voted UKIP ever since. To be honest I prefer the Tories to Labour but just cant bring myself to vote Tory. I know that no particular party has all the answers, I reckon this election is just going to get nastier and nastier. I wonder what will happen if Labour gets in power via the SNP? I think this election will have some interesting results, just hope the results help the UK to get better not worse? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

I don't understand how anyone can vote UKIP as they don't talk about anything other than leaving the EU. It's just a protest vote. The EU has many problems and issues but there is more to government than that. eg what about foreign policy, defence, education, justice etc.
I see it as do you want more or less Government? For the needy in society you probably need more but for most things you probably need less. Look how well JLR have done since the dead hand of government was removed. Perhaps the NHS should be the next sacred cow to be reformed and why are politician involved in education? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I put other as I'm still undecided Sad

Cannot bear UKIP but I do think our position with Europe needs addressing so therefore should go Tory with the promised referendum but then I couldn't abide privatising elements of the nhs. I also feel that trident should be reduced to 3 not 4 save billions of pounds and struggle to see how 4 would make significant gains over 3 when we pretty much go in with others to anything these days.

As I said earlier i'll be voting UKIP. And as Dorsetfreelander said, for me atleast it will be a protest vote. I'm not a fan of Europe, but I do believe we should have a vote on it and that our politicians should take a stronger stance on it, to me it just seems that the EU tell us to do something and our government does it without questioning it.

With the NHS, it doesn't bother me if it gets privatised or not AS LONG as its free at the point of use. My local Labour PCC was banging on about privatisation and reversing what the Tories had done. I asked him if a new Labour government would nationalise the areas that Labour had tendered out to private firms. The Labour PCC wouldn't answer me. To me Labour are not fit to be in charge, and the Tories arn't much better. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
