Changed the glow plugs after a couple of days not starting and we found all 4 not working.while the manifold was off I checked the swirl flaps and found 1 broken off but still in the manifold luckily,so I removed the others just in case and everything seems ok so far. |

Paul - Did the old plugs come out easy enough? Talking to an AA mate of mine the other day and he reckoned they can be a tad tricky as they can become calcified over time???

They came out no problem at all and mines done 86,000 miles,we went down the route of taking the inlet manifold off as it seemed the better way of doing them just incase they did break,it's not a hard job to tackle just a lot of things that need to be removed to get at them. |

Hi Paul, did you take any pics? Is this an easy job to get to the swirl flaps? My plugs are fine but I am considering EGR blanking and removing the flaps. Cheers. |

Once the manifold is off then yes it's a easy job to get at the flaps, the manifold removal isn't difficult just involved as there are a few things that need moving for access .no photos we didn't have much time as it was a bit cold today. |

Only one left at home, the other three have flown. This one is approaching the 'dads taxi' age, so I am bracing myself. |
