Oops, forgot to get back on this. Thanks for the tips -- the dealer also suspected it might be the DMF. Hopefully it was just a faulty unit -- I don't want this kind of issues every 3500 km.

rjc1944, yes, I was unsure about Firenze being too bright but I think it's a quite nice full bodied red. Rimini seemed nice too though.
