I've asked because on the tutorial that you've posted about the PDC, you've said that there is no need to update the ECU. But it seems, from your sayings that it was already updated and you've forgot...

alex -- OK, I was afraid this would be the case. So I guess my next question would be, how do I know if the third party stereo I want to get supports this beep signal? Is the LR signal conforming to a standard that I should look for? Many systems come with input for parking camera feeds but that I am sure is different. I have been mostly thinking about a Pioneer AVH-4400BT (http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/109/281/AVH-4400BT/index.html) but it only mentions the camera input, but I am not sure what I should be looking for.

I had the Alpine INA-W910R installed to completely replace the standard audio set up.

CG, I couldn't really find anything about the Pioneer adapter specifically, I think zone30 at least seems to have a Kenwood (http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic4005.html).
