Welcome Dave.... the difference between the FL1 and FL2 makes you wonder if the first one was ever a Landrover! Freelander 1 TD4 HSE - gone, 2 weeks after the Cat.Converter!

Hi there bought my wife a new Ltd Edition Freelander 2 in March.White with body kit .1st Landrover I have had in over 30 yrs. The middle section of the front spolier fell off whilst travelling down the motorway today.Causing me to run over it. Luckily is is made of plastic, the road was quiet due to Easter holiday and no one hit it. I immediately made my way to a nearby dealership who photographed the vehicle and checked the underside of vehicle for damage. Apparently none. They told me they would send photos to my supplying dealership and arrange for them to contact me. Any knowledge of this happening to any other new LR |

Many Thanks. That was very interesting.I have printed off this item. Will see what supplying dealership has to say when they contact me. I am not impressed by them. My unregistered vehicle was damaged prior to handover and the damage was crudely repaired and they tried to conceal it from me on handover. Luckily I found it the same day and after sending a letter of complaint to their head office the damage was repaired and I demanded and was given 3 years free servacing for my inconvenience. They also looked at my lower front spoiler and told me it was OK. I will wait with baited breath on this one |

Just a post to say hi to all as we have now taken delivery of our 08MY FL2 GS in Rimini red, 20K on the clock and running as sweet as a nut, a real change from our previous FL1. Has been good to read so much valuble information on the beast, fitting side steps tomorrow as a result. |
