If you are not happy with the dealer, if it were me I would do as you have suggested and take it to TVLR and just get them to take it up the road with you, they will at least give you a second opinion and put your mind at rest, the thing is the more you think about it the more you listen for it and it spirals from there. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I had a vibration issue with my old one. It was felt through the entire body. Even empty passenger seat would vibrate big time.

The young lads with their Subaru's pay out good money to have their turbo make a racket, think its called a dump valve, sounds like a fart when you change gear, just the new FL2 farts all the time. I was only wrong once and thats when I thought I was but wasnt. 2010 Freelander 2 XS Stornaway Grey 2010 Aston DBS Morning Frost 2010 Bentley Continental Brooklands Green |

No overly noisy turbo on ours, perhaps you have a leak in one of the turbo hoses? |

Have you got any where with your whistling turbo? Picked up an SD4 on saturday and it has the turbo whistle. Loud enough to bring on a headache on a long trip.

I got mine replaced with 2011 TD4, and agree turbo can be heard to whine while driving 120 -150 km/h. However the car has normal power, so I thşnk that's normal with mine. 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone
