When I speak to anyone re customer services whatever company it is I allways start off in a very polite manor as you don't get anywhere by being bolshy etcbut dealing with people at Landrover CS & the Relationship dept is enough to drive you to drink as all they do is make up excuses, pass you from one to another & simply make false promises hense my comments. They simply do not understand the meaning of customer service. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

I should have added that this isn't a spat....it's a healthy exchange of ideas with kindergarten insults included. I'm hanging out for someone to be called a toilet head.... |

My friend emailed me the information about GMPP warranties. This is an email from January 2009, so the dollar figures are somewhat dated. Although it's through General Motors, they cover any make/model of vehicle. Again, I don't know if they cover vehicles outside of the USA, but I would imagine that there are like companies throughout the world, and local to you.

mikehzz Firstly I am sorry for the delay in responding to your post - I do like to be timely in my actions however on this occasion you raised an number of issues that required verification first and due to the holiday period this took sometime to get a response from those in South East Asia in the companies concerned (LR & Allianz) with whom I have personally known for a number of years. Nonetheless it is now business as usual. So onto the deficiencies, guesswork and falsehoods in your propositions: 1: Call Centre or other operations: Allianz has currently no presence in the Pillipines. 2: Re your post 31Dec 4:58pm Quote: "As far as I know, it wasn't available in Australia 3 months ago when ub2's warranty ran out." Allianz & LR confirm that the product was launched 2nd week July 2010. 3: My inconsistencies: If you have ever read the works of Prof. Stephen Hawking you will observe that he states that even black holes and vacuums have "matter" therein; they are not entirely empty. My reference to "brain cells" and "between the ears" were not an analogy but an appropriate reference to one's intelligence ipso facto their (Ub2 & EV's) ability to progress their disputes in a timely and cogent manner i.e their ineptitude. 4: Analogies: I did not make any - I stated facts - not comparisons. 5: My reference to cricket was entirely appropriate. A core constraint within Ub2's original post was the issue of the time of product availability - a timeframe contingent. I made also a timeframe contingent relating to my activities re the New Year period not only to watch cricket but to celebrate with my family. This whole thread has been about timeframes. Certainly not, and i quote:"about Freddy betting on a race" (your post 31 Dec 4:58hrs) Finally: a) it is clear, now that it is known LR / Allianz Assured Extended Warranty product was launched in Australia mid July 2010 that Ub2 has been poorly served by his local dealer (if, he has stated his circumstances correctly). Should he have documented evidence that proves the date of his enquiries then he could, if he desires, progress the matter vigorously and directly with LR Australia Head of Dealer Network. Otherwise he does have an opportunity to take out one of the many other 3rd Party warranty insurance programmes available in Australia. b) Ub2's circumstances should be a clear lesson to everyone globally that they must never take at face value what your local car dealer tells you. There is lots of evidence here on Freel2 of the disinformation that has been disseminated from dealer networks on various subjects. Check and cross reference time and again. A dealership is only as good as its people and the level of training investment those employees receive. LR try to ensure high professional dealership standards, but cannot be on the ground every minute of every day monitoring their performance. Recruitment mistakes do happen - inappropriate people are sometimes employed in the wrong post. c) And, just like all car manufacturers, LR tailors its offerings to suit the conditions of each and every market. So the terms of qualification & limitation of their extended warranties globally will differ. Don't cry foul play - it's entirely appropriate and sensible from an engineering prospective. |

I read blah blah blah Stephen Hawkins.....that would be Stephen Hawking I presume? I don't know a Stephen Hawkins. Just another error I suppose. Anyway, I'm sure he didn't theorize the possibility of brain cell sized matter in his vacuum but I wouldn't really know or care. So the reference to the vacuum between the ears wasn't an analogy...it was a fact backed up by modern science. I bow to Hawking's brain cells in a vacuum theory however obscure. I'll now get back to reading the telephone book which I am finding far more interesting, although I did like Junior's comment when he called me a toilet head. |
