The answer is 'yes' we are taking orders for 11my vehicles however they are not being accepted by the factory system until next week. The reason people are placing orders is becuase dealers have a set number of each model that they can order each month, therefore if your local dealer can order 8x FL2 (11my) then he will probably order 2x demo's, 1x showroom car and then the first 5 customers (retail or corporate) will get the next 5 cars. Any orders over and above those 5 would be ordered in the following aorder allocation (August).

To be fair, Land Rover have juggled the supply and demand situation fairly well. Ordinarily we would sell any demo once it reaches 3 months old, however I do not have the 10my stock to justify replacing these cars just yet. This means that there are not too many 10my vehicles in the network which than affects the deals available. The best deals were at the begining of the year, and I wouldn't expect to see such deals for some time to come (especially with the 11my due soon).

My advice if you're looking for a good deal is either to pre-order demo 10my for when the dealers change their fleets to 11my or alternatively to take advantage of the finance offers on a 10my that is in the network. We are classed as a 'large' dealership and we only have 4 in stock, and a handful coming through between now and mid-September.

I'm seriously thinking about this. LRX is not out until Q3 2011 and will be 2WD or conventional 4WD; ERAD (Hybrid) is not out until 2012 and would you wnat a battery and electic motor to go through a 0.5m water crossing! Land Rover electrics and water?

My dealer showed me the info that they have, but it was like '' if i leave this here and go and phone a customer you won't look at it will you'' . The new one looks nice but not a major change.

Was given lots of info by a Land Rover person on condition I kept it to myself and didn't walk into a dealer and start quoting anything. Prices pretty much unchanged, looks quite nice and I've put in an order for a Manual XS for delivery late September/early October. Gone for the same colour as my current SE which was discontinued and is now available again (the colour that is not the SE, more's the pity).

Going into dealers on saturday to order XS SD4 auto in fuji white.
