Really I just put what I liked about the 2 shilen had done, bigger air gap/mouth and thought the larger grill was suited it more than the silver one I was trying to make fit

do we lose the body coloured surround to the grille? Must admit it looks loads better without and certainly more like a baby range rover

That headlight layout (not the LED Christmas light bits) remind me of another car from a "few" years ago - Jensen CV8. But then most of you wont remember that one (only us OLD fart, grey, pensionist, flat cap drivers) :whistle:

No, but I was invited to meet the designer of the C-V8 MKIII on the stand at the London Motor Show (think it was 1966) all because I was writing up a bit on Jensen Motors at the time, and no I was not 40 either, just a lad like you are CG. I loved those headlights, but most people hated them.

Dont believe everything that is written in Wikipedia CG, the C-V8 cannot be considered a sports car as it 4 seats, it was rather a Grand Touring or Sports Saloon if you like.

PS: By the way, the Jensen C-V8 FF (Ferguson Formula) the first non all-terrain production car to be fitted with a 4WD and anti-skid brakes (as they were called in those days) 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Sd4 190bhp auto only omits 185g/km and has a claimed mpg of40.5

Had a few down the line 2day. No change to dash xcept piano black strip on glovebox and button surrounds on steering wheel. Also different style on seats. Yep the diesel is now 190bhp. Same lump tho. Live your life be free-lander

Been on the factory tour at Halewood and had a really nice time. Saw the facelift, small changes, there's a chrome strip below the rear glass (which I think is ugly and more like a Japanese car), in the rear bumper there's a black trim strip around where parking sensors are and the rear light cluster, break lights are white (LEDs?).
Front grill is different but it was covered, but grill seems to go further down in to the bumper.
Instructor, while driving the demo car said from what he has seen that the inside has more leather, on the dash similar to disco4/FFRR.
On a separate note, the demo was on a FFRR and the camera system was very impressive, specially when reversing, shows the path that car takes and also reverse sensors show visual bars with changing colours imposed on the rear camera view. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto

Is anyone taking orders for the MY2011 yet? I thought LR 'built to order' so unless they are just using the time to catch up on the order sheet who is still placing orders for the MY2010 knowing that the improved car is just weeks away.

I guess the VAT rise will encourage a few people through the doors - after all that's going to add not far off a grand to a decent spec HSE auto just on its own! Don't LR need business - what recession?
