Hi Vespa quoted your price to my local dealer (not a hundred miles from Huddersfield- in fact not 25 miles). Was told that if I could buy one at that price then they would have 10 as well. Now I know that they tell sales fibs but he suggested that they ( H LR) would be making a loss on this. Did you get this price with a P/ex or was it a sraight cash deal. I have also assumed that 'new' means that it wasn't a demo car??? Anyone know what the dealer margins are on new FL2's - I've seen various posts but nothing too committed. Can anyone shed any light??? There's always a way forward! 2008 Freelander Td4 GS - Stornoway Grey - Now Gone - Sob 2011 Freelander Td4 GS 150 - Rimini Red - in its place - Better x far x 4!! |

Indeed, that would constitute a commercial loss although a few more £000's would break even. There are very few onsold vehicles out there, therefore if you get a good price then make sure that the dealer has a car (ask for the chassis number).

Drowned Rat, I'd leave it a few months if you can. Stock is low just now and prices maintained. It's your typical supply and demand equillibrium. Madam Fifi says this will change, trust me. After all I am not a stealer who's after your hard earnt pennies |

Expectations are that the present PCP deals will continue into the second quarter.

I'm playing the waiting game at the moment too. The above quote for a well specced HSE, only applied to cars ordered, registered and paid for by 31 March 2009. Discounts available from April will depend on Land Rover's 2nd quarter offerings to the dealers. Lets hope the Springtime deals are at least as "generous" Steve |

update from dealers - they want my car and are willing to pay top dollar for it (sorry James) only problem is that there are so few cars available that they are having problems discounting prices (as no throughput) they are willing but its a sellers market.

I have been looking around for the last few weeks to get the best deal for SWTSMBO's Freelander 2.

You know a new FL2 is just begging for a Group Buy. If we could offer a dealer a dozen sales, I bet the discount would be good.
