First time poster.
I'm just about to close a deal on a Freelander 2 TD4 XS (11MY). I tried purchasing through Drive The Deal and the other associated websites but was only offered build slots in February and later which would carry the VAT increase. The discount offered with the XS model with required options was 9% max. I didn't try Autoebid as I didn't want to pay up-front and also get a Q1 2011 slot
My local dealer offered a 5% discount with delivery in November so, being impatient, I've gone for the "quick" option. I would have preferred a bigger saving but it seems like the dealers are keeping 2010 build slots for higher-paying customers (naturally).

Without getting too political, wait until after all the spending cuts are revealed in October, the Economy will double dip and LR and their dealers will be only too happy to discount 20% or more.
