At least I'm not alone in having virtually no stock!

Different GAP policies have different levels if cover, £10k sounds low.

11my will be out in time for Septemper. Not a facelift as such but a bit of a refresh of minor details which combined will make it feel different. There is a bit of speculation re running gear that LRMaker (think that's his/her name) has covered.

Reason for 30% deposit is to reduce the equity required to change into another vehicle for the same monthly payment at the end of the term.

James Thumbs Up

So come the 11MY models in Q3, any older stock cars of 10MY may be cleared at challenging prices. Like what I said. Maybe LR arn't wanting to meet demand just now, instead, they are gearing up for the new model year, which may be a bit more than just a new button here and there.

carnoch...I decided after some 15 years NOT to use my regular LR dealer as on my Disco3 they quoted for some work then when it was done and I went to collect it they said "sorry we made a mistake its £150 more "!!!! Censored

I was not happy! and couldnt be bothered to argue so i just paid them and decided never to buy from Bar@@@ts again!!!!
(after buying from them a Jag and some three discos...)
Thats the reason for shopping around this time for a new dealer to buy from

Yes, I understand and it's what I did last year for new Disco, but then went into the b*r*t*r*s showroom for a look at one in the flesh and happened to mention the deal i'd been offered elsewhere, they price matched and that was that. I wish I hadn't in honesty. I'd rather driven 500 miles and got from a dealership worthy of doing business with if one exists. The thing is, you draw LR CS attention to things and they make sympathetic noises, but do absolutely nothing. When I've spent in excess of 30k for a motor I expect better. They are going to reap what they sow one day!

The Sealers would have us believe black is white given half a chance. It's like noel Edmonds Deal or No Deal, no matter what the senario, the Stealers have an explaination for it and 1001 excuses why they can't a) Discount b) give you a good trade in c) chuck some insignificant extra like car mats in the car or even fill it up with petrol beyond the 1/4 tank mark d) give you the actual car model you want e) the colour you want f) the finance you want or alternatively a cash discount etc ................... Join the club. both my Disco and FL2 filled up in advance of the budget, the SWMBO insists for some strange reason.

Like you I can deal whenever, but your right about the interest, some of the lowest returns I've had have been 0.5%, the ISA's are making about 3.5%, but even at that, so what? I gave up caring about interest in December 2008. I've some getting absolutely nothing. It's more important to watch what and the price you pay for things in honesty.
