Don't think there are much stock cars for quite a while now. I bought mine in februari last year and got a TD4_e delivered in april. They only started production on the _e in march so if they did have a lot of stock I don't think they would have given me an _e.

Giving the discount is good, including the price OTR after discount would be better. Could people also say where they got it and whom they dealt with. I am assuming no one signed the Official Secrets Act or signed a document saying they would have to hand back the car if they ever disclosed these details. It's not like we are asking for your bank details. Even sold houses you can find out how much people paid on the internet, so why be coy about a car? In the end it could mean some dealership could get a lot of business and then their profits would be based on bulk sales rather than screwing the individual. It's our chance to do something for ourselves and not relying on the good nature of a salesman or dealership, which lets face it, are in business to make money out of selling a car to you, never mind the trade in! and before you feel sorry for them, I know someone that had to cash sell, his 2009MY FL2 XS, under 15k miles on the clock, for 16.1k back to the LR dealer. Bet you won't find that one under 20k on the forecourt! |

Cheers, twodogs. This all help others negotiate a deal and for some that means the difference between models or having a FL2 or not.

A 2.5% rise in VAT made them all disappear probably, it's the same with RRS too, dealers have little stock and there is a lead in time at the factory too. The recent weather has also created added demand from people having to replace their useless fake 4x4's with the real thing. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet? Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green |

The VAT is out of our control. In honesty, it wasn't an incentive to buy, you know 250 quid for every 10k. I agree, better than nothing. Yes, demand will have risen for LR due to panic buying re the weather, but then we should get more if we trade in, assuming we had a LR to start with. |
