Hi,
Just joined as adding a FL2 to the fleet.

Sadly, have been on all of Martin's sites as change my cars far too often.

Nice to see the same old faces as on RRS & Disco 3.

I do not think I will add that I have a caravan as CG will take an instant dislike !

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Sumatra Black

Evening all - just made the move from a 1.8 FL1 to a 57 GS 2.2 with body kit & 19's, really pleased with it - completely different drive to the FL1 although that never let us down in 4yrs.
Bought the sony sat nav as advised in the retro fit post.
Regards

2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver

Hallo all!

I have just put a £1000 deposit on an approved used Land Rover Freelander 2 2.2 TD4 HSE. I loved the car on first sight. Drives very similar to the X5 I was thinking of buying and comes with loads of luxuries (leather, sat nav, bluetooth, cd changer, climate control etc).

I am looking forward to receiving the vehicle this week.

New Freelander 2 owner, Hi!

Hi all,

Just bought a Freelander 2 2.2 TD4 Gs in Santorini Black. Have to wait around 2 weeks to collect though due to my private plate (gutted)!

Looking forward to using the site regularly!

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black

Hi All,

after driving a 52 Freelander 1.8 Petrol "Serengetti" special edition for 5 years I have made the jump to a FL2.

It's an 07 SE and I "think" I got a good deal on it, I have a £250 deposit on it and hope to collect it on Friday. It's due a service in 2 months, but he's offered to do one before I collect it (not at a Landrover garage though) Will this invalidate the remaining LR Warranty?

Also, you guys seem like experts here, what should i be looking for when I pick this baby up? I am quite excited, but don't wanna get stung. I think I got a good deal (£3k for mine plus £14,250 for the SE)

Appreciate any guidance,

Great forum BTW, VERY helpful.
D

Congrats Dingo, you won't be disappointed.

As for the service, so long as they use the correct parts, and you check with them, then no, it won't invalidate your warranty.

I even took mine to the local LR dealer to get a trade in price, and pointed to the sticker that my local LR speciallist put in the window, to say when the next service was due, and he never once said it'd affect the price getting it serviced with them.

as long as service is done using LR parts your fine, but i would check with a local LR dealer on schedules of services, as if he does the service too early/or late in miles/or time this could cause problems. England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver

Hi Everyone,

Just recently joined the Landrover club, awaiting delivery of a 2008 Freelander 2 XS in Zermatt Silver.

Dont know if it just me but the FL2 doesnt seem to be is plentiful supply, had to go quite far afield to pick up something that fit my bill.

Thanks for providing a great resource, I have been pouring over Freel2.com for a few weeks doing my background research.

Thanks,
Richard.

I must admit I only used the LR approved used car search facility which only threw up 13 FL2 XS's between £16000 and £18000, so I did limit my market in that respect

I did see a really nice black XS in Ayr, which if I wouldnt have bought the one I did look at, I would have taken the family on a 'emergency' weekend away to Scotland to take a look! Although it did have a tow bar fitted!!

Just planning a couple of timid green lane trips so when I pick it up I can start getting an idea of its capabilities.

Richard
