Hi all, I am returning to freelly ownership after a bit of a break(2014). Just taken delivery of a 2012 santorini black sd4 hse.To say i'm chuffed with it would be a bit of an understatement!! I will take some pics after i've washed it,snowed here today🥳🥳🥳 and it would have been rude not too, lol. Did highlight a possible change of rubber though.Cheers |

Hi, just joined. Enjoy reading what people do but have no mechanical knowledge what so ever, just drive it or wash it is about my limit. |

Welcome; they should have a 'sub-division' for us, the wash and drive brigade |

I joined the forum this week having just joined the "club" - already I have discovered the benefit of membership. Cheers all - I now have a 2012 Freelander 2... very pleased.

Don't be afraid to have a go. Plenty of helpful guides and posts on here and YouTube videos. If you have a basic toolset including a few spanners you could be doing your own oil and filters services and changing brake pads. Big savings over garage prices. Thanks Bobupndown for the link. I have just ordered one. First time did it I borrowed a pals long handled flexi-head ratchet and shallow six sided 27mm socket. My 27mm Kamaza open headed and ring spanner was rubbing the corners off the nut because there wasn't room to site it properly. Hopefully this will work or I will have to go down the expensive route and get a long flexi head ratchet and six sided shallow socket. Thanks again for the link. |

Guarantee a flexi head ratchet 27mm spanner will solve your access difficulties. 😁 Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948 2014 Orkney grey Freelander SD4 GS. 2004 Zambezi silver Discovery 2 Td5 (Gone) 1963 Surf blue Morris Mini Minor Super de Luxe (my little toy) |

New member here, had my Freelander 2 for 4 years now, unfortunately found the forum due to having an issue and hoping for some help, but I'm expecting to become a frequent poster.
