Spain 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Hi All, another newbie member here!

Just swapped my Nissan XTrail for a 2007 2.2TD4 HSE freelander 2

I live permanently in Spain, so prices here for second hand care are absolutely ridiculous…. But at least we don’t suffer much from rust!

I’ll be sure to post some questions, as it has a few issues I’m afraid, but first impressions are good, definitely a step up to the Xtrail in NVH and equipment levels…

Hello!

Hi
Just brought first FL2 (had Defender td5 prior) and mega excited about the vehicle (collect this Friday).
I enjoy finding out about vehicles and am likely to service it myself using genuine filters and recommended oils like i did with the defender.
Also, hopefully get good pointers if it goes wrong!
Andy

If you've looked after your Td5 the Freelander should be just as diy friendly. 😀 Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

@AT1963, buy one of these & unless you have fat arms, attack the oil filter from the top!

27mm flex head ratchet spanner makes it easy. Just like wriggling the Td5 centrifugal oil filter out around the exhaust manifold and turbo!

I don't have fat arms & found the oil filter easy enough to get to from underneath - Flex head ratchet spanner essential tho! 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 Manual Dynamic
