Hi

Car supermarket near use has a 2014 SD4 Dynamic with 24000 miles on clock. They want £23000 for it. Makes you wonder who would pay that.

I’ve logged on to the LR used site this morning and there are NO FL2’s available anywhere in the country!

Not really a shocker
Have you seen delivery times for a Disco Sport at the moment?
Over 12 months, and only then if you don't select quite a few of the options - think about that for a moment, the "new" model comes out 1st September, so you are placing an order for a car which currently has no firm specification, or even colour and they want £50k+ Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

WBAC emailed me this morning to say that the amount they're offering for my FL2 has increased from 2 weeks ago.

Its not just cars. Placing of orders for the bicycle I was interested in (Sonder Colibri Ti) are on hold until March 2022 with deliveries in September !! Jules

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Firenze Red

Yes We Buy Any Car keep getting back to me, over the last 12 months the price has risen from 11k to 14,625 this week!!! So after 3 years ownership and a total of 18k miles from new I have lost about 2k, but then again they never pay what they offer..... I have just put four new tyres and had the cambelt and water pump changed so I wont be selling to them. Smile 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4

Just been listening to a guy talking on the Financial Times website about semiconductor shortages, he was from Taiwan and reckoned that the chip shortage could last into 2024. Evidently Vauxhall have reduced the output of their plant in Liverpool and laid off 1/3 of workers as they go down to two shifts.

PS my SD4 XS 14 reg with 60k miles WBAC just quoted £12635. Gone up again 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE

Spent the weekend staying at my daughter's house in Kent. There was a knock on the door and a guy was standing there offering to my my FL2 for cash. I am also being hounded by WBAC . Perhaps it's time to cash in ? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

It's now 4 years since I sold my SD4.
How I wish I'd kept it.
I got very little for it but I needed a van and to be honest my VW transporter has been highly reliable since buying it and I enjoy owning it. I couldn't justify running both vehicles.
It's just not a Freelander 2.
I think they'll become sought after modern classic cars in the next few years.

Do a full acoustic/insulation job on it. The number of people I have seen setting up vans for travel is surprising. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Not much need in GB the acoustic/insulation we don't have hundreds of miles of nothing to drive. Common sense isn't very common.

It's still good for short trips & also quieter sitting in traffic. I am surprised how loud it is outside when I open the window... occasionally. One is also more relaxed if the environment is quieter. Also acoustic foam is great thermal insulation. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
