Oh gawd, if there was ever a definition of 'snatching defeat from the jaws of victory' that was it. What a joke.....

So Albon probably won't retain his seat at Red Bull, Perez seems to think that that is now his seat....Wonder if George might get a look in at Redbull though...?

Indeed but probably wouldn't cost much (relatively) to buy out his contract. Might be especially attractive to Williams to get Perez there with all the backing money he can bring in. Depends how much Perez wants to stay in F1.

George was put in William's by Mercedes as part of their junior team, this gives Williams a deal on the Mercedes engine, contracts and deals are complicated but if Mercedes want George they will get him, but Ferrari won't and probably can't.

I bet that I'm not the only one who hoped that George Russell could have had one more week in the Mercedes.

Would have been more interesting if they let Russell drive Merc again, and put Hamilton in Williams. Andy

It would have been a nice gesture for Hamilton to let George have another go - it's not like he needs to race this weekend.
