What is really interesting is the tie up between Ineos a major shareholder in Mercedes F1 and the UK Americas Cup challenge using Bracknel for evaluation of design parts and systems for reliability including settings for system and parts failure. This bore fruit over the weekend when a mainsail adjustment system failed and a fixed optimum setting was used and enabled the team to progress to the Challenger Cupfinal with a win on every occasion, pulling 50 knotsin 12 knots of wind is absolutely awesome.
