Tricky one that - I have not realy noticed the fan on at all (maybe I am deaf) I am sure it does come on, but as the winter snow is only just melting, the temperatures have not been warm enough yet to get the car "overheated". Next "warm" drive I will check to see/hear.

i don't notice the fan been on whilst driving, no difference in the temp gauge on the dash, thats always constant about half way

Try an airline air gun on your radiator , I have one here, but you should try your local garage

i might have a look at removing the fan assembly at some point and try clearing the rad veins from the rear

After 2 years and 42000 miles I have never known the fans run on mine - even when stopping after a motorway run when you might expect some heat build up.
