Sorry, the J.D's got to me Brain. She's a 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 XS. her last owner was reputed to be Alan Sugar's Lady Pilot.

Picked it up yesterday, couple of early issues; Bemused that I can't stream music through Bluetooth but still will do a bit of digging. Also cruise control cancels when you press the break pedal, instead of catching up to what you had previously set it to. The silver front grille at the front looks to be discoloured like Limescale. Anyone recommend product to bring it back to life? |

This page of the user manual explains it. Basically pair your phone by Bluetooth and then choose the My music option.
That's pretty standard? Cruise maintains a set speed, and either cancelling it or braking switches it off. You're probably thinking of adaptive cruise control (which the Freelander 2 doesn't have) where the vehicle will automagically slow down if another vehicle in front is detected moving at a slower speed, and then resume the previous speed once that object has sped up or changed lane. In your Freelander, after braking, use the resume button on the steering wheel and car will accelerate to the speed you previously had it set to.
Searching old posts is probably easiest here - it's a common issue (I still need to get mine done!). ![]() |

Thanks Christopher! On the bluetooth I've read the bit in the manual when I got home, after my silent 2 hour drive (just couldn't do radio 2 that it was set to and didn't bother to stop and scan for more stations), also the SatNav lady didn't want to speak to me so I had to focus on road signs proper old school experience! I think I've got her muted somehow but if I can get bluetooth working as source I'll have google maps and just fix my phone to the dash.

My cruise control does the same - once I've touched the brake I have to reset it. On my previous Discovery 2, it worked as christopher suggested.

Ah maybe check the volume settings in that case. On the dash, hit Setup, then choose System[b/] > [b]Volume presets and see what they're like?
I don't think you'll get the same answer from any two people on this ![]() Personally, I leave it in D with the foot brake unless I know it'll be more than a few minutes, in which case N with the EPB (electronic parking brake) engaged. I'd never stick in it in P though in case someone goes into the back of me (transmission is locked, I'd rather the car absorb some of the impact with the wheels being able to rotate/roll a little). Your mileage may vary on this one!
Can't say I've tried streaming any saved music; I tend to just use Spotify/Tidal. Phone denying access to the SD card is very plausible though. Older versions of Android especially can be very finicky about permissions! ![]() |

Just press the RES(ume) button after youve braked and it goes back up to speed, Disco 2 was exactly the same! VW goup cruise control doesnt disengage when you brake automatically and tries to get you back up to speed again when you come off the brakes, Im not sure I like that and prefer the way Landrover's works, or maybe Im just used to it?[/quote] Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948 2014 Orkney grey Freelander SD4 GS. 2004 Zambezi silver Discovery 2 Td5 (Gone) 1963 Surf blue Morris Mini Minor Super de Luxe (my little toy) |

Your FL2 is NOT a typical Land Rover, I have read it was both designed and built by Ford, in the UK. Not alot of people know that |
