That's funny! I spotted them on them on ebay then noticed they were also on gumtree for the same price. Got in touch with the guy via gumtree, had a bit of chat - really nice guy, made an offer which he accepted. Picked them up the next day and he took down the gumtree ad, but I still kept getting emails from ebay as they kept getting relisted with a lower price - this must have been an auto relist that he forgot about. I bought the wheels late April and was still getting ebay emails 3 - 4 weeks later... It was a good deal too - getting the 5th wheel and two more used at3s ended up costing me more |

An 13 year old auto with a problem - your point is? Mine started to give trouble round about the 185k mark, still worked fine solo, but struggled a bit with 1500kg on the hook going up Shap at 70. They are in general a good box, but after 13 years, the new owner probably has no idea about the servicing regime that previous owners have followed, or if it has towed generator set for a living for 5 years. So yes you will get some that are suffering from neglect - as you would with a manual that had been used to launch boats for a couple of years. Issue is not that it is unreliable, issue is the owner has a problem, and someone will come along to offer some useful advice, mine would be it sounds like the oil is well overdue a change, this can play havoc with the spools and valves that control the clutches.. Change the oil, do a proper flush through and start diagnostics from there. This would be my advice for anyone with an auto of any make if you are not sure of how it has been serviced in the past.
