Couple the vents with go-faster stripes and you’d have been unstoppable |

"Is anyone old enough to remember the fake air vents on the early Ford Capri?"

Any difference in fuel economy with the air intake wart? Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Nothing noticeable, Lightwater. I had the small trailer behind and two big kayaks on top so it was very brick-like moving through the air, even if not heavy. I was being fairly conservative with my speeds - although my partner was not! By gees they go well. MY11 SD4 SE Auto |

Other half drives faster than I do, but she always says its the car! She also makes comments on fuel economy....... but only one of us is on & off the accelerator, 27 point turns, looks forever to park a few metres closer!

I was driving down the M3 last night and came across an FL2 being towed at about 50mph with the front wheels off the ground which i always thought was not a good idea. I guess it's ok if the haldex is "freewheeling" but even then it's not designed for continual slippage at speed surely? I would have thought that in normal operation, the input and output shafts of the haldex would be running at about the same speed but in this situation who knows? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
