Yes it looks that way .. I would like to drive an auto of the same year with no problems and also look at the driveshaft/gearbox to compare maybe that could confirm things ... |

From a standing start all 4 wheels are engaged then as speed increases the rear is disengaged via the Haldex I believe this to be 10 mph, then if any of the wheel speed sensors pick up a increase or decrease in speed the haldex kicks in and 4wd is instantly engaged,so basically they are front wheel drive most of the time ... |
