Well I thaught my car was fixed, well peed off the car won't go into 6th gear to say I am not happy is an understatement and when I go into Hatfields Liverpool tomorrow there getting told a few home truths. Got the car back yesterday and only took it on the motorway tonight and it wouldn't go into sixth gear...absolutely fuming here wish the dealers was open now... |

Got my car back on Wednesday, went for a long drive yesterday and my car seems to be fixed; no vibration in any gear.

But the most surprising thing is that I recently tried another freelander 2 td4 from 2011 and 50.000km

Thanks Blinche. Very useful to know. No idea what I'm going to do. My concern is that if I tell the dealer to replace the rear Haldex diff and it doesn't fix the problem then I'm down 2k with no solution Might look into part ex with a dealer....may be for a disco

Hi there are many many posts on this very annoying vibration problem take a look at all my posts and you will see I’ve replaced many things and still not got to the bottom of the problem . I’m pretty convinced now that it is the front diff bearing gone bad that is the bearing in which the passenger side driveshaft slots into so if you grab hold of the complete cv assembly where it enters the diff and you can wobble the whole thing up and down with lots of play then you have same as me too much play . Take a look and let me know Tim |
