United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Hi,
Thanks to Ianm27 on the Disco3 forum for redirecting me to this site. Been a proud owner of a Freelander 2 since march 2017, when we moved over from a Disco3. Have owned LandRovers since 1996 and travelled many thousands of miles and had many adventures. We are looking forward to many more weekends away visiting remote parts of this beautiful country.

Hi
Just joined and only became a Freelander owner last Sunday! Previously owned Discos for the last 15 years! The comparison in ride is unbelievable! Just getting used to all the new toys onboard lol any advice or pitfalls to look out for would be greatly appreciated!

Hi All

Hi everyone, just popped in to say hello.
Happy owner of a FL2, 08 plate HSE. I've not had much to complain about, just came on to find out more about parking sensor problems. 10 minutes in and I'm planning the front bumper off for a look at the wiring.

Based in the Scottish Highlands, where it rains a lot... Thumbs Up

Aye up the sensors don’t work well in the rain.

The front sensors are very susceptible to rain. I have had the problem on and off on both my FL2s, and have resorted to spraying up the rear of the sensors with WD40 or similar water dispersants. It cures the problem for a while. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

picked up a small cheap trailer off a local seller last night, had to go to hellfrauds and buy a 7 pin - 13 pin adaptor to find the trailer electric socket is pretty much shot as the casing had been leaking. the rest of the trailer is sound so im not too bothered.

going to buy a new light board with lead, rip out all the old electrics (simple set up so dead easy) and then fit the new lightboard and cable. Very Happy

all set then for a family camping trip in a couple of weeks, cheap ebay roof box, cheap ebay trailer, means pretty much everything is securely carried with no kit other than immediate essentials rattling around in the car

the dog gets the best seat as he has the whole boot to himself less the coolbox space which will be secured and plugged into the boot socket.

happy days are here again Very Happy

I'll maybe try that first, I think the bumper will be off though, rears aren't working either so it looks like the chaffed wire problem.
