Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4_e Dynamic Manual Fuji White

Metropolis name goes back to the D2 Thumbs Up we’ve still got our one in the family owned from new came in java black only with a roof mounted sat nav screen and central roof mounted DVD player for 2nd and 3rd row passengers.

Name might seem silly to some but it was full with extra options for the D2. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior
MY15 Xenon Headlight Conversion

MY17 RRS SVR - Estoril Blue Cirrus/Ebony 🪣💺’s

It’s ve got a soft spot for D2’s too. The name suits a Disco even less.

I have always liked the D2 as well. Like the FL2 it's what a Landrover is all about, a mix of comfort and practicability which I feel is lost now in the model range 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep

There are a couple of silver Si4's on a 65 plate over at Lode Lane....they also have blue roof-mounted beacons on them and are used by Business Protection of the site.

Did you happen to notice whether or not it was RHD?

ps: I know J4/M40 very well, Cressex, High Wycombe.....or 'vikkum init' as its more commonly known amongst the locals Rolling with laughter

Almost certain it was RHD.

That was the only compromise we were willing to make when we bought our FFRR, it has a similar interior with the light inserts, although we were never 100% happy with it at least it wasn’t “hole of Calcutta” inside......the outside was though (and after saying we’d never buy another black car), oh well we are back to a lovely light interior and a subtle exterior now, much nicer. Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

Much as I really respect the Freelander, I can't see that it can last. With no current equivalent available new from Land Rover...

We FL2 lovers are gonna look at the new Defender.
I love my FL2, like many not convinced with the current design language of the RR series.
But the new Defender looks promissing...

Looking at the interiors of the Metropolis versions (I actually almost ordered one new sight unseen when first announced) I much prefer the light interior of the HSE, the Metro light seats look like LR ran out of black leather and plonked the last batch of light seats into black interiors, not to my taste.
Nice HSE on the site though, with a proper light interior Laughing

Edit : what I didn’t realise is the later models didn’t automatically get HiD headlights with the new design projector headlights, that’s disappointing Confused Regards

David
