Down to 16 now and only 2 in full colour. I wonder if the FL2 will carry on being listed until there’s only 1 left. |

It just occurred to me - is the Land Rover Approved used website the clunkiest manufacturer’s site on the web? Do you know of worse ones? |

Yes, it’s grim! It even has all the charm and atmosphere of a public urinal - it never lets you forget that life has brought you to the point where you’re looking for a second hand Vauxhall!

My first ever car was a 4 year old Viva HB. I thought that it was a bargain at the time, until about 8 weeks into ownership when you could watch the rust forming by the day....after less than 6 months I got in it and fell through the floorpan. Mechanic was amazed that it had lasted nearly 5 years given its reputation. I think that it ended up being used for Banger Racing |

My first job was in the research labs of the Plessey Company in 1972. They had built one of the first room temperature infra red imaging cameras with a view towards applications like looking for hot spots in buildings or signs of cancer on skin etc. Having got it going someone pointed it at the car park and all of the rust spots showed up as the surface temperature of painted rusty metal was slightly different even though you can't see it. In those days the cars were mainly BL or Ford and it was a sorry sight. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I challenge that Yorky - it was replaced with a 1980 Fiat Mirafiori, which lasted significantly longer than the Vauxhall. |
