It’s back up to 50 cars on the LR used site

So is it that the market demands them to seek stock or everything else is grossly overpriced and not turning over for the common man ? FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current

or is that

a) that the last 2015 cars are now 3 years old and being traded back into LR dealers?

or

b) that LR have recognised their mistake in getting rid of the FL2 with no FL3 replacement so are trying to get a share of that market back ?

A friend of mine dropped by this morning to show me his brand new 68 plate DS HSE. Seemed very nice then he said that he was taking it back to the dealers today as there was a problem with a broken rear seat arm rest and the dealer had got a replacement in for him. He also said that he was going to mention a "rubbing noise" from the back.
I just had a message saying that the replacement arm rest was also broken and that the dealer said that the rubbing noise is a drive shaft bearing and that they don't want him to drive it so have given him a Jaguar for the weekend.

Sounds like we are going back to British Leyland style quality control! 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I'd still have it over a new DS though, which is where it starts looking like a bit of a bargain

There was a green one there a couple of days ago and now there are photos of a “new” green one being delivered to Sandringham today! That leaves only two full colour ones available countrywide.

Currently a total of 19 left, mostly in black & white, but there are two Firenze Red ones

I asked my own friendly dealer about this a few days ago. They said that they could very easily sell any recent / low mileage FL2 that they could get their hands on, but those coming back were now too old to be allowed to sell

Interesting point of note is that LR Retailers are charging 7-12% MORE for an Approved FL2 than they were at this point in 2018.

Tells a story on its own.

I paid 17k last august for a 2014 XS in Firenze red it had 13k miles on it, thought it was dear but it seems a bit of a bargain now  2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4
