Probably an excellent demo of the capability of standard (summer) tyres on ice/compressed snow, as I am sure our winter tyre experts will confirm. Depends how many miles the demo car had done but the tyre sipes were probably past their best for grip anyway. Not a failing of the FL2 performance as such, as a braking car is the same whether 2WD or 4WD. |

Couldn't have said it better myself. You are so right. In short: FL2 is FANTASTIC on ice and snow, but you need the proper tyres to drive on snow. Summer tyres is NO GOOD! But you also need to know how to drive and how to react on ice and snow! HAND-BRAKE??????????????????????? 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack. |
