Such a rare colour I've never seen tan seats in a fl2 in the flesh! How are these fair up against denim dye transfer? MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Changed the Haldex Oil/Filter

Well yesterday actually,
After talking to Austen (Bell Engineering) I brought the kit (very quick delivery) Thumbs Up
we dropped the prop, unplugged and unbolted the Haldex, found the filter was full of gunge!! the Haldex was flushed though with brake cleaner twice and allowed it to dry,
we then proceeded to bolted/torqued it all back together and filled as quoted on this forum.
only real concern was we had a small amount of oil left over, but after PMing Austin who then assured us he had supplied over the required amount, so a essential job done for now. Cool

If I'm up near Bell engineering in a years time I'll book her in for a Haldex strip.

I've never noticed any dye transfer but I must say I clean and nourish them very often.

Great job! I just has my rear diff and Haldex service kit delivered from Bell. Can you give me any tips for removing the diff&haldex as I'm in the middle of France and have to use 'Jungle mechanics' to get it done? Very Happy Only dead fish go with the flow

Dave I am fully with you on this getting the Haldex done and Austen did mine at quite low mileage earlier this year.

What sort of miles have you run up as that filter looks in a pretty poor state ? FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Sorry bit late coming back on this Gapster, my neighbour done the work & I assisted (it's me age) disconnect electrical connector on haldex, unbolt the prop he also undone the centre support to make it easier, 4 bolts hold the haldex to diff housing, at this point the haldex oil will run out "not" the diff oil, we couldn't get the flange off so settled for flushing with brake cleaner and allowing to dry, as far as I know a haldex oil change had not been done before,(79,000 miles) and I do intend to take it to Austen's next year for a complete strip.

Hi, mileage is just over 79,000 miles, the muck in the filter feels and looks more like an emulsification whether heating up and cooling I don't know, the oil itself was not very dark in colour but did appear to have lost some of it's viscosity.
so defiantly time for a change, as I've already said this unit will have a proper job done next year when I can get up to Austen's.

Replaced the tired looking silver HSE alloys with smart newly refurbished black HSE alloys.
Hmm............... I liked the idea of everything being black - but I need something to break it up, I think it now looks like a "gangsta" car. Which really isn't me.
