Peter, had you looked at my signature below the picture you would have seen that I also have a 2008 model, so yes it is possible. Do you have the equipment to do it yourself?

First car park damage from some A-hole opening his door onto my car while I was in the car and parked😡😡😡😡😡
Just drove off like a rude gitt!
Happy to say that painted door mouldings did their job and polished out nicely.

Changed every front and interior light bulb to xenon super whites and LED's for under £28,
19 bulbs in total, (2 rear number plate)
also 2 blue LED's under folding mirror puddle lights, which gives off a beautiful glow against the chrome side vents,
amazing difference Smile

United States 2008 LR2 i6 SE Auto Baltic Blue

Did the Haldex/Rear Dif/Front Transfer fluid change yesterday.

With the car about to hit 100K miles, I expected to find some nasty looking oils, but I was pleasantly surprised. Based on the condition of the fluids and the Haldex filter, I suspect that it has had a least one service on these units before. I think I read that the drain plugs came with aluminum crush washers from the factory, whereas the Haldex and Rear Dif had cooper ones.

I would say the Front Transfer Unit had the fluid that seemed most worn of the three and the Rear Dif fluid looked quite good, and could have been done recently. Glad I did them anyway, just for the peace of mind.

PS - Thanks to the Forum for alerting me to the need for these services. 2008 3.2L I6 Auto

My daughter agrees with you. I offered to do the upgrade for her, but she prefers the old look. 2008 3.2L I6 Auto

Preventative medicine and dpf woes

Changed the fuel filter and gave the dpf a can of the wurth dpf cleaner.

My car was going into limp mode when I was on the m1 last saturday, at first I thought it was the fuel gauge / tank pump problem.

Anyhow I got the error codes read using sdd and they said it was :

P2456 pressure sensor problem
B100A-15 fuel pump authorisation

I have ordered a new pressure sensor but I guess i will end up replacing the dpf. The pipes leading to the sensor looked fine
in sdd you can read the amount of soot in the dpf and mine reads at 15%

i was going to do a forced regen i didnt do that at the time but will take it for a 20min drive this morning.

problem is that if it goes into limp mode when i am doing the regeneration then i dont know if the forced regeneration will do any good.

its a 2012 2.2 diesel xs and has done around 70k
