Maybe he just thinks you are too grumpy to feel sorry for? This might cheer you up. Why are scandanavian women so beautiful? A: Because the viking used to steal all the good looking women on their raiding partys, If you want further proof come to Britain and see what they left behind. |

Well, since having the fuse removed I've suffered a "no start, trip reset" which I thought this problem with the PTC heater was linked to

guys I need your help here. The dealer here claims that my car is not fitted with the ptc but they have to remove the fuse!!!! So why the hell would they want to remove it of the ptc is not there. How can I verify if this curcuit is installed on my car. I even called uk support and they dont know if the car is fitted with this or not |

vafree2 - I dont think you have much to worry about if the fuse is there or not. Cyprus always sound sunny and warm to me

thanks guys for the response. I agree with you that the ptc is not going to make much difference for me in Cyprus, but I want a straight answer from them. I suspect that they are saying that there is a fuse but no ptc, cause they don't want to go into the trouble of replacing it. As a customer I have the right to decide if I want the defective part replaced or not, Besides I paid for the car ( and it is not the cheapest SUV!). If you think about it, today is the ptc, tomorrow it might be something else ( I have a very but experience with the freelander 1999 version). I only know about this recall from this site, not from the dealer. |

I think if you have the PTC, the dealer would normally wait for the recall notice to be issued, than just doing the recall job on the off chance, and the possibility of not been reimbursed from Land Rover Warranty, a 10 minute job would still be claimed back .
