You just pay the money and hope it has been done, history either by PC or paper is either cyber ink or dried liquid ink but neither is completely guaranteed to be true. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I don't trust what the dealer says - I've had a couple of cars where they "forgot" to stamp the service book but were happy to stamp it before I paid for the car! The new system should actually be better. The servicing dealer will give you a full service history printout from LR along with your detailed paperwork and presumably can't fake it. I think you can ask for this from any dealer at any time. If you want a book to stamp you can download one from TOPIx - advisable if you intend to use a non-LR dealer. Have now had the car 6 weeks had a couple of small things sorted , dealer collected car and left a ds, got new tyres on it last week so thought I would give it a wash on Sunday , high level light is leaking, phoned dealer today to book it in and was told it's highly unusual , like that's true !! and that I need to pay for a courtesy car, not too impressed as its under warranty , booked in for the week after Xmas |

I have been back to my LR dealer in Yeovil a number of times during my extended warranty and for servicing and if they have a courtesy car available they provide something (even if it's a just little Peugeot runabout) or offer to run me into town etc. I have never been charged and that goes for investigative work too. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I accessed my online service history myself this week, easy to do, told me its had some oil and a filter and at what mileage it was done. |

The charge was actually for the insurance , but I will argue the case as its under warranty |

Went into a Mitsubishi dealer today with my son who is looking for something like a Mitsubishi L200 for work. I went over and had a look at a Mitsubishi Outlander diesel, looks nice and lot cheaper than anything LR have to offer, plus 3 years dealer servicing for £700, 5yrs or 62.5k miles warranty etc. I came away with the brochures.

Not yet, but I'd definitely look at the hybrid if I were changing my car. I'd charge it on the solar panels and still have the engine available for long journeys. There have been some comments in the past about a sluggish take-off in electric mode, but they've been updated since then.

I sat in the outlander once , that was enough , cheap hard plastic all over the shop , it wasn't the bottom of the range car. I was so disappointed as I like the look of the car.

The plastic in the DS and Evoque isn't that exciting especially considering the prices being asked by LR. having looked around a few other manufacturers recently it's clear that nowadays you pay over the odds for Land Rover gear and servicing. (Even Porsche servicing is cheaper) 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Ive always wondered why LR are so expensive on the service costs? You get a cup of coffee at Porsche too so thats not the reason |

Not a plug-in though, as far as I know, so not attractive in the same way.
