England 2010 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

[quote="alans835"]Over the last few days I have got my new private plate on the car, cleaned up the back box and repainted it with some VHT black paint and cleaned up the n/s/r brake calliper, disc, suspension arms and shock and gave them a coat of black paint. Chuffed with the results just need to get on and finish the other 3 corners!

Did you have to take the exhaust off to spray?

Thanks

Rescuing a Range Rover

The Freelander 2 may not have a low range gearbox or locking differentials but my 2013 FL2 successfully pulled a new Range Rover out of the mud on Saturday after a Nissan 4X4 had tried unsuccessfully. Both the RR and FL2 were on the same tyres (Scorpion verde all season M&S). I agree that for some things, low range, etc is needed but was very pleased with the way the FL2 negotiated the mud and pulled the RR out.

Took son's FL2 to the dealers to have the wipers and washers sorted plus a few other things like loss of power etc. Came away with a new Disco sport auto courtesy car which was an interesting experience, nice to drive and the auto headlight dipping was good but overall I think it's vastly overpriced and impractical (7 seats?). Was stuck in traffic outside a VW dealer and saw a Tiguan and found myself thinking "that's a nice size for what I want". Don't know much about it but it struck me that this is the sector that is sadly lacking in the LR range at present. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Excuse me saying this but won't most people think you have a 10 year old car? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Spent the afternoon helping flood victims, when the River Aire burst it's banks in Bingley.
A row of cottages were about 4/5 feet under water.
I can't believe how quickly people turned up to help. Some helped with the mopping up,whilst others brought food, clothing, cleaning products etc.Brilliant community spirit!
