I think your mechanic is talking about the original Freelander - that has a pump. I think our models don't have a low pressure pump, I think fuel is drawn up from the tank by the high pressure pump, not pumped up. I might be wrong though! |

Isn't that just to pump fuel from one side if the saddle tank to the other? |

The pump in the tank is called a fuel module/sender unit,

I have read on here about the exhaust cam snapping at the end that drives the fuel pump but I think it was mainly limited to Russian vehicles. I'm just thinking that if no fault codes are showing up, your problem may be mechanical or even a fuel blockage or air leak. |

The new in tank fuel pump and sender unit turned up today. Very quick service from Rimmer Bros, only ordered it at 11.30 am yesterday.

Well I fitted a new in tank pump and sender unit today. If I had a car lift it would be such a simple task!
