Cleaned it up a little and got some lacquer on it, will get someone to look over winter as the wheels will be off the car and the tyres are shot so they are being replaced too. Couple of places locally quoting about £70 to repair a diamond cut alloy, oh hum, mustn't grumble.

I have done both the back ones, but not on normal parking. Twice misjudged the width of the car after driving a much smaller car for 2 decades.

Because of our high kerbs down under you basically don't see a car without kerb scratches. I was surprised that the 2 kerb scratches didn't really bother me when they happened. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I've seen the kerbs in the Sydney suburbs, people would be torching their copy of the Daily Mail if we had those Laughing
It's, sadly, an accepted norm over here to park with two wheel on the pavement

You must have kissed the curb well Taz! The Conti's have a generous rim guard but seems like you escaped with minimum of damage.
I managed to escape any rim damage in my 7 years in Sydney, I was always more concerned with the parking technique - parallel reverse in until you hit car behind and then straighten until you hit the front

Its not sad at all to park on the kerb, everyone with a brain down are side road does and it allows the lorrys and fire trucks to get down the road, if I parked off the kerb and someone else did the other side then we wouldn't have wing mirrors in the morning.

What gets my goat is why the hell the pavement has to be so wide in the first place, makes no sense Whistle Down are road we have a 3 slab wide pavement then the kerb, if they did 2.5 slabs then kerb people wouldn't loose wing mirrors. Freelander 57 plate XS Blue Auto

Just as well you don't have 22's Tazzy lad Whistle £70 seems a good price a lot of people up here charge Range Rover money to have diamond cut alloys refurbed Laughing MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior
