United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Baltic Blue

There is an HSE Lux for sale on a 15 plate with just 300 miles on it, for £7k off list (£42k), which is an unheard of discount where LR are concerned.

Ok, it's in a crap colour, but does include illuminated Treadplates and a 5 year Service package. That's a hell of a hit in 3 weeks if you ask me.... Foraging near Gaydon....

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Orkney Grey

I've been divng one myself for 3 days now as a loan car while my freelander is in the dealers. Don't like the low driving position, drives like a car, the drivers seat is uncomfortable, the finish is a lot better on the dash / doors but the on screen graphics are really naff pictures, power boot is great, front air bag on the bonnet is a bit odd, crap centre arm rest, my 2 boys love it (12 & 9)..... Looking forward to mine back . I thought I'd really like it when they pulled up in it but it's too like a car and not 4x4 / landrover enough for me . Anyone else had one for a few days ?

Scotland 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Saw my 1st out in the wild (well M&S car park to be precise) and didn't initially recognise it. Noticed the colour initially (Corris which I like) and when it parked up the front end gave it away. Funnily enough it parked between an Evoque and Disco both in grey so had something to compare against.

Didn't look as big as it did in the showroom and the colour suited it. Wasn't keen on the red with black pack in the showroom and several others on the dealer lot were all in black. Not instantly recognisable as a Land Rover so may have missed a few, though I don't think there will be many on the road currently.

I had one overtake me slowly on the A9 so got a good look at it. Just very bland. Too curvy. I love the FL2 and Disco shapes so sad to see them go. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

There isn't a lot of DSs on the road at the moment due to the second row seating latch problems, but they are starting to leave the showrooms in there droves.

The DS looks tiny next to is fellow LR models but it's a bit of a tardis, spacious on the inside, my one has the pano roof which gives it a nice airy feel, also I chose the lighter cirrus interior. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Hello J77

I've seen your pictures on the other DS thread .. Your interior looks great ... I really liked the DS interior on the loan car I had for 3 days .. The power rear seats are a good idea to get to the 3rd row seats . Are you finding the 3 rd row seats , seat belts a bit of a pain on the parcel shelf cover and they knock about a lot . Mine had side straps also .. Found them really hard work when getting out. My son pressed the emergency landrover call button ... They were really nice .. Good luck with yours , bet your getting a lot of looks driving it , I did in the loan car as its so new on the road. 2007 freelander 2 XS td4 Stornaway Grey .... GONE

Hi kershaw

I'm loving the DS, it's a really nice place to be, I prefer the light interior with the DS, the black seems a bit claustrophobic to me.

I've not used the 3rd row seating yet, but yes the seat belts get in the way of the parcel shelf, well that was until I found a couple of clips on the rear pillars, they fit in there and keeps them out of the way.

There isn't many on the road at the moment, so I have had a few glances, mainly from fellow LR owners.

Are you tempted to get one at some point? 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Firenze Red

I saw 2 in uddingston yesterday with 5 mins of each other. I saw a black one, it was coming towards me at a T junction , the thing I noticed first and I didn't like it ( never noticed on any othe DS , must have been because the car was black) was that it said discovery on the bonnet in what seemed like a huge "font" , it kinda stuck out like a sore thumb. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Sounds like DS spotting is the new sport. I wonder if there is an Ian Allan spotters book coming out soon? Smile 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Actually I think that the later facelift FL1 was a really good looking car and looked more like a proper off roader with spare wheel on boot etc. Doesn't drive as well as a an FL2 though. Nostalgia isn't what it used to be ..... 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

It's a slightly narrower font, though the same size as at the moment, which will eventually appear throughout the range 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
