It's still possible to stall even with the anti stall (as my wife proves). If you pull away by slowly releasing the clutch with no gas the car should crawl along at a steady pace in first or second. Particularly useful passing horses without revving. TBH not tried doing it in reverse but I can't see why it should make any difference. In 3rd gear or over, taking your foot off the gas should keep the car at a steady pace with no juddering, in my car 5th gear and no gas it keeps the car at exactly 30mph which is handy. _________________

I tried mine in Sand mode today. Goes like the clappers once the revs have picked up, but still seems gutless when initially setting off. |

This whole thread seems to tie in to another widely experienced thread in "technical" as since a software upgrade carried out as part of the investigation on mine it feels exactly the same. "2011 facelift 150bhp engine with intermediate missing" MY14 TD4 manual XS Orkney grey.

Mine is also really sluggish if the revs are below 1500 rpm it's like a slug above that its of a stick. I will mention it to the dealer next time it's in, 2 weeks for its mot. My son has a 11 plate facelift FL2 and has had exactly these issues where sometimes on pulling away from a junction or on to a roundabout there is a loss of power. LR assist put new software on and things improved for a little while then reverted. Dealer put latest software on and made no difference. My 60 plate LR2 seems OK. I wonder if there is some remapping/learning going on? |

The dealer told me that the car learns your driving style, I'slime to know if this can be reset so I can start all over again....with a heavier foot! |

Took our 11 plate facelift FL2 into dealer today. Evidently LandRover are aware of a number of issues regarding slow throttle response on different variants of FL2 and are trying to find fixes.

My 2011 FL2 also suffers from this problem.

I found that my D3 was gutless at junctions and take off and had it remapped. Problem solved and it totally transformed the car as well as improving mpg. Until you have had it done you wont understand what you have been missing, the difference is night and day

I would describe this as an intermittent fault as it isn't like it all of the time but it is getting more and more frequent. Green Discovery 300tdi Modified,

I too have the same "slow throttle response. My landrover (main dealer serviced) 60 plate has been in to the dealer on numerous occasions. mainly for the hesitation between 1800 to 2000 revs and every time comes back ok for a couple of weeks. on the last occasion it can back with the poor throttle response.

The problem doesn't create an MIL fault so what they should do is to drive around trying to recreate the problem whilst recording the live data from the car.
