anti corrosion warranties usually only cover perforation. Which is pretty unlikely unless you drive around in the sea a lot.

My rear arches seem to be fine. I've ordered new trims for both front and rear as they're coming away. Perforation warranty would've been useful for me in my first car - Austin Montego, as that had holes all over the rear arches in the end Very Happy

It's interesting that some people are sufferring from corrosion on the rear arches, as I've yet to see a rusty FL1. My mate has got a '98 model and it's immaculate Exclamation Exclamation Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Santorini Black

Part numbers;
LLR026342 £5.64 (Rear)
LLR001624 £3.83 (Rear)
LLR005165 £10.41 (Front)
According to my dealers they aren't handed.
Only take seconds to fit. Clean all the dirt off the wheel arch edge before fitting the new ones to prevent rust. Thumbs Up Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

I have recently replaced all of the trims on my July 2010 FL2. No sign of any corrosion thankfully - I washed and waxed (twice) before fitting new. There was a small section on one of the rear arches where the paint had flaked off completely (in the gap between the rubber trims) completely but it wasn't corroded. I used some touch up paint and lacquer on that. 2010 Freelander 2 HSE Auto Santorini Black / Ebony Leather

Just to balance the discussion about this topic:
81,000+kms - never had to replace the wheel arch rubber trims - had them off a few times (after each winter) in almost 5yrs of ownership from new - MY2010. No sign of body panel corrosion anywhere.
