Over six months have averaged 37 mpg. I am pleased with that.

Hi Loler, its gods to see your high average , you are one of the luckier ones with a later model. I just wish that Landrover would make available to those of us with pre 2011 MY cars the siftware change to give us the better MPG.
.
The engines are fundamentally identical.
.
I have asked LR a number of times however they seem to insist on playing deaf. I would happily pay my dealer for the software update.
.
Kind regards from Fred

Hi Fred

I have owned petrol engined Suzuki Vitaras A Rav4 and a couple of Fronteras and got around
25 to 28 mpg and so you can see for me a vast improvement.

I use my car for my business so have just bought a 2014 HSE that I will put up some pictures
when I get a chance

Chris

Is everybody doing the calculations from mileage/filling up at the pump? I have found the on board computer to be a bit inaccurate, giving a high reading Sad

Chris - how do you go about claiming it back on the tax return? I presume you also use the car for personal use as well, What sort of allowances do they allow you on a vehicle of this type ? Do you put it as a capital expense?

I always fill up the tank at every filling. Using the onboard computer can be as much as 7mpg out as it was on the
RAV4.

It is no good quoting MPG if members forget to say which version and year or auto/manual their vehicle is. So I would suggest ignoring them entirely. Ex 2010 Freelander2 GS-e Diesel manual Silver owner

Hey all

only had the girl 4 days, but getting an average of 9ltrs per 100 kms.

Sorry now its not in MPG, (Im Welsh and prefer that), but since 2006 all Irish cars have KMS only speedo's and trips.

That's only around the lanes and to get home from local town at sea level we have to change elevation by some 250 mtrs via hairpins so that really chews into the MPG...

Rav 4 been mentioned on here, my old 02 D4D 3 dr regularly got 42 mpg in same area, impressive for 4wd, but then only half a jeep too ha ha Razz
