United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Sumatra Black

Friday lunchtime: accident on the outside 2 lanes of the M4 westbound.
I moved over to inside lane and just as I got to the front it was closed.
The ambulance and police that had just previously arrived closed the motorway.
Lots of people and vehicles on the hard shoulder were joined by an ambulance.
The police tried to clear one of the immobilised vehicles to the side, but as the track rod was broken it wasn't going anywhere.
An officer was walking toward me and I volunteered my towing services as I have I towbar and a tow rope.
He asked do you mind ? I said not at all.
I moved forward as instructed by the officer, hooked up my FL2 to the broken vehicle and pulled it to the hard shoulder.
Where the officer thanked my and wished me a safe journey.
I was relieved as I was on the way to an interview.
I pulled away with a sense of pride, an empty road in front of me and an unblocked road behind. FL2 HSE 2.2 TD4 MY07 Sumatra Black

Very cool, koolandy! Good LR community work! The important thing is, at the interview did you recall this recent experience as an example of "the kind of guy I am" and, more importantly, did you get the job?

Have just taken mine in to Stratstone's to investigate "Detachable Towball Clunk" at behest of Mike @ LRCR. Not feeling very positive that they will find anything. For a start, they don't have anything approaching 1400kg or more to hang on the back. Rolling Eyes 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

On mine you could feel the play if you grabbed hold of it firmly only a couple of millimetres at most but it could be felt. Thumbs Up

Australia 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Fuji White

Hi
I have just returned from a 4500k trip to Jindabyn and back to Hobart. Stayed with some friends in a house overlooking lake Jindabyn. We have been doing this for the last 34 years. There is some wonderful fly fishing in the area. The main rivers we fish are the Snowy, Moonbah,Eucumbene Murrumbidgee, Gungarlin, Murry and several others that are secret.
The car went extreamly well, and performed remarkably well on some very challenging tracks.
On my drive back to Melbourn to catch the ferry to Tasmania I had to leave very early and drive in the dark, this something to avoid doing because of the risk of hitting Kangaroos and Wombats both animals being capable of weighing upto 90ks.
Well I wacked one just short of Adaminaby at 4am. A big Censored !!!. An Eastern Grey
Well I expected to see a grands worth of crumpled front when I got out; but no!!
The dipped beam light had popped out of it's holder easily replaced, the headlight washer had broken off not so easy to replace;
absolutly no panel damage, which I consider to be mucking refarkable.
Roger
