Spoke too soon , son went out in car last night and on return said he thought the unit was sposed to fire up on starting the car up ( it hadn't) , so I checked and opened the glove box to see if the power lead had seperated and as I touched it the TomTom started/shut down as intended .

Met the missus from work and her little finger was easily inserted and she was able to switch on/re boot the TomTom via the hole beneath .

Hi All Can anybody recommend anyone in the North East UK who could install this for me? I'm a little nervous printing out the instructions and taking it into a garage as I might get the p*** taken out of me being a girlie

Just an update on mine , not firing up again on start up most of the time , I suspect lead to unit is not in fully or worked out , back to garage Monday . |
