Wire is tucked under headliner through to pillar, behind this plastic & then behind the door seal

Pulled from door seal at this point & run behind this plastic under passenger footwell (tucked this well in underneath so well away from feet & no trailing wires)

Tucked under this plastic on the other side (by centre console) & then out to plug into switched 12v socket. I suppose you can wire in a 12v switched power under the glove box, but I can't be bothered & don't want to mess with the electrics....

I've not saved off any vids yet, only had a look when first set-up, but there are some on the link I provided above.

Will upload when I get a chance.

After doing some research on eBay, just ordered one of these.

Appreciate its not going to be comparable to a £200 Roadhawk, but.....it will do the job!! Looked at a fair few YouTube vids, will just look at improving the mount so its more compact. Possibly a mini gorilla pod around the mirror. 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

We have been running those for three or four years now at work, for the money they don't do a bad job, a 16gb card will do about 8 hours with the sound off. Odd one or two tends to lock up occasionally, just remove the battery for a second and it will work again. If you do want to get a bigger card as they will take up to 32gb just get one from an approved source, lots of forgeries out there. Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Thanks for the info, I feel a little better about my budget purchase! Went for 8GB in the end to keep it a budget install and will be fine on the continous loop. Have you used the original mount filpot or opted for something smaller? 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

Just had a Mi-Witness fitted professionally. Delighted with it now that the iPhone app has been released.
It comes with a safeguard to stop it completely draining the battery.
The best of British technology. Buy it

I too have just got the mi-witness after having had road hawks for 5 years. I have to agree with you, this camera is in a class of its own with excellent quality, functions and so discreet as its so small. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

2011 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Galway Green

I like the look of the mi witness from their web site and the idea of buying something based in UK gives me (some) peace of mind for e.g. returns and support.

But over at DashCamTalk consensus seems to be it's quite expensive for what you get, only 720p with a low frame rate. Seems that the FineVue CR-500HD is recommended as a better option and a bit cheaper (although no GPS and wifi is an additional extra).

Horses for courses, I guess. FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green

btw as I understand it the mi-witness is based on the blackhue, I think I read some where the mi-witness guys used to be UK resellers for blackhue or something. FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green
