It is believed to be a test mule for the chassis for the next Freelander, dont be fooled by the looks its way too early to see any styling clues, everything under test will be hidden away, it may even have a different engine under the bonnet that is being tested?

In ways it resembles the FL2. I don't really see the point in a grand Evoque, LR are just getting greedy. |

Yes well, I thought that it would be more likely to be a Freelander. Since the new RRS, Range Rover and in some respect the concept for the new Defender all hark back to the Evoque, it qouldn't surprise me. From a visual point of view though, it's identical to an Evoque externally except for the rear quarters.

When Evoque was being tested it had a Freelander body as disguise. Now the next Freelander is being tested with what looks like an Evoque body, albeit a modified one. |

Looks a bit like a camera, but could well be some measuring device.

In the May edition of Whatcar (page 22), shows pictures of the new Range Rover Sport. Very Evoque looking. Their reporter was driven in it rather than being allowed to drive but they say they will test it in June. Prices estimated starting at £55k. |

Looks like the new RRS to me, rear lights and door mirrors and wheels, but, put the reg number into Askmid and it comes up as a Freelander DI. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

Looks too small to be RRS. LR have updated their range with new shaped wing mirrors and wheels. But they haven't put them on Land Rovers yet, only Range Rovers.

Definately not RRS, the rear is too squat for that and there would be no need for camo ones to be out and about. |

If you look at the leaked pictures of the RRS it shares the lights and mirrors.

The RRS has already been launched. You can even build them on the LR website. |
