Battery low warning MY13

Just wondered if its just mine playing up.
I'm often shown the message battery low, start engine on the touch screen, when I'm listening to the radio waiting for my wife to get off her train. After 3mins the system shuts down.

Two questions - does anybody else have this problem? And Is there some way of changing the timeout to shutdown to a longer period?

I've recently done a few long journeys so am surprised that battery is not fully charged. Fuji White MY13 SD4 Dynamic

Funny that as I noticed this on mine the other day, I was pre programing the radio channels with the engine off when I saw on the display
Low Battery and this was only after a few Mins
I pushed the start button and run it while I carried on tuning the stations

Not noticed it since Wink BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

If the radio is on and it senses the battery fall below 12.3 Volts it will turn the radio off to avoid flattening the battery. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

...and it also switches off even if your in the middle of a (Bluetooth) phone-call! i.e. using the Bluetooth on a call, park up, shut the engine off and 3 mins later the radio(media centre) decides its going to shut down. Embarrassment as you struggle to find your phone to carry on with the call!

That might not be a bad thing, I once switched my engine off in my old 2008 HSE whilst on a call, finished the call after about 5 minutes, got out and next morning had a flat battery as the car hadnt shut down the electronics properly. Ever since then I have always ended call before switching off the engine and never had a problem since. Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

On my 09 model the radio time out is 15 minutes. If I turn it on for another 15 minute stint while sat waiting in the car then during that second 15 minutes I get the low battery warning. Not found anywhere to adjust the time as you can on aftermarket units. Silver 2009 HSE
