I think if you put a small child in the car and then couldnt open it still and get them out it might be called child abuse these days and youd be on the front pages like Savile |

If the Victorians sent them up chimneys then getting into oldgeezer's car should be a doddle |

here we go, i will post an image of how close the door is to the wall, it proved very difficult just to get a fishing rod through the gap to pull the bonnet catch.

What's the white thing on the left, can it be removed or is it the wall? Deflate the tyres on the right hand side, jack up the left hand side (with a "real" jack not a LR scissor one) and it could give you more of an angle to open the door a little wider? Alternatively, how much is the glass excess on your insurance? |

Well the simple answer is to get rid of the " Piece of Junk", you keep telling us . so just get rid of it for something more reliable |

To be honest, I still think it is a premium car, and the only car I have bought twice. I understand you have had problems but I rate the freelander 2 highly. |

Hmm - to avoid this problem in future do you know if the drivers door inside handle will open the door - if so you could loop a cord round the lever, through the steering wheel (to get the pull in the right direction) and out through a small gap you've lowered the window for. I know this is a bit pre meditated but it seems the OP knows he is going to leave the car for a while and that this might happen. |

If double locked it will be dead locked so no other door other than passenger can open. |
