Agreed grabber at are great. 10mm tread, no More road noise, fantastic in wet, and off road, I have had vredestein winter toys, wrangler hp's and pirelli zeros. IMHO. The grabber at's are best. £600 fitted . 255 55 18's Plus they look fantastic |

Just fitted a set of ATs to mine (235/65R17) very impressed with them, there are quieter than the goodyears (wrangelers / latitudes I think) that were on hold the road much better and should be good in the winter too.

Anyone tried General Grabber UHPs. UHPs seem to be one of the cheapest of the General range (quoted £123.44 each) and get a good write up. They look to have a directional tread but have been listed as ‘All Season’ on various websites.

My original Pirelli Zero's were worn out at 29000 miles and I replaced them with General Grabber UHP's. They have now done 16000 mile and have 5mm of tread left. No complaints. |

Looks like Generals will be my next tyres in a few months. Event Tyres seem to be competitive and not a lot of difference between the UHP and AT in price (although the price seems to fluctuate quite often).

The UHP's I had were ok on the road but not so good on mud and grass.....far prefer the Wrangles in this respect. If you don't venture off road the UHP's are OK. Long time since I had some fitted but iirc they didn't wear quite so well as the Wranglers and became a bit noisey once worn down a bit in comparison. |

I am not really interested in 'Off Road' tyres so maybe the UHP are the ones to look at.
