Aside from the obvious RTFM, how much of a pain in the ar Censored is it to change the bulbs to these nightbreaker bulbs?

Also, how much for dipped and main bulbs and where is the cheapest place to buy? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Easy peasy to change, take the whole light unit out and do it on the bench, dont fiddle with the lights still fitted to the car. Two bolts on the top of the lamp and a twisty plastic thing on the rear.

Halfords own brand extreme type bulbs are fine, if it is not apparent, ask about two for one offer, they nearly always sell at this offer.

I checked their website and their top quality bulbs are called super brilliance by the looks of things. I shall drive to the nearest store this afternoon and have a look. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Got some Ultra Brilliance bulbs from Halfords today. They are the best bulbs in the range and increase brightness by up to 120% apparently.

£54 for both dipped bulbs fitted by Halfords. I paid for fitting because I am lazy and have zero patience with such things.

I will report back after I have been out for a spin after dark. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Just got back from a drive around. Went through town and down some dark country lanes before a quick blast down the A38.

Shocked

Now all you need to do is buy some canbus rated LEDs for the side lights because as I found out when I fitted the +120s the standard side lights now look a dirty dingy yellow in comparison, a few quid on flea bay will get you some brilliant white units that do justice to your lamps Thumbs Up 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

MartynB, I had a quick look at those on ebay and are there any additional bits needed or do they simply use the existing fitting?

There is a bewildering variation of them so short of RTFM, can you provide a link to the correct type on ebay? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

No problems with these Doctor. they are a straight swap, wedge fitting, old one out, new one in, omly thing to watch is there is a right and wrong way to put the LED unit in as it has a + and - input , unlike a traditional lamp, they look well bright ! 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

It's guess work so put your headlight unit almost into position and plug in the main socket and then try your side lights before bolting the headlight into position Thumbs Up ( my money is on one side ok the other needs a swap Laughing )

I got these but could not get them to fit in the bulb holder as the plastic moulding of the light was slightly to wide for the bulb holder.
