Entry level Land Rover

Interesting article in this weeks Autocar saying that the DC100 concept that Land Rover have been showing off could actually be launched as a new model that would slot into the range below the Freelander, and cost between £20k - £25k. It also says that the next Freelander is not due to be launched until 2015.

Been saying for a while there is a gap in the market that LR could fill with a sub-FL2 car to take on the Yeti/Mukka and the like. Meanwhile they can take the FL2 up a bit in price.

It needs to have a hybrid or CO2 below 120 though to get anyway with the company car market these days.

And Land Rover now being Indian, could do a Pukka Mukka? Laughing

Yes it's pretty funky

I'm sure the floor pan could spawn both a defender and a yetilander

it looks like a Mini on steroids !!!

but....... I like....!!

they will do well, if its offered in 2wd with a small engine range ( to compete with the rest of the market) like a 1.4 & 4wd with standard td4 as the top of range..
